Booking

The Great Glen Boating Club is a not-for-profit organisation and we aim to ensure our costs are covered while minimising what we charge to join Sail Caledonia. To break even we require 15 boats to participate. ... so tell all your friends!

Costs include your canal licence, evening meals and a comprehensive support, such as boat fuel, safety cover, crew wages and insurance, etc.

For skippers, membership of the Great Glen Boating Club is included in the entry fee for the boat. This allows each boat to be represented at the AGM, providing an opportunity to make suggestions for future events.

Other crew members and friends are warmly invited to join the club at a membership fee of £5. They can then have their say at the AGM and enjoy the other benefits mentioned on the Organiser’s page.

On receipt of your booking form we will send you a confirmation letter and request a non-refundable deposit of £200. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the event. For those booking on Ros Crana or Taransay a separate non-refundable deposit of 25% of the accommodation cost will be required.

1 - 50% discount on participant fee for children aged under 14.
2 - Camping includes use of canalside facilities and transport of your camping and personal gear between camp sites.
3 - Evening meals are included for all participants. Breakfasts and lunches are provided for those staying on Ros Crana or a Taransay cruiser. Those camping may purchase breakfasts and/or lunches.
